One of the biggest movie weekends of the year is upon us. It’s the Man of Steel taking on The Devil.
Reviews are mixed for both movies, with more in the positive side.
I loved the previous Superman movies (with the exception of the 4th movie), so i plan to see this one, but most likely not this weekend. “The Devil Wears Prada” gets my pick for Sunday afternoon. Meryl Streep is a great actress and I always look forward to her movies.
Of course, next weekend is the Pirates sequel, which I will have to wait, as I’ll be in California that weekend to see family. But as soon as I get back, I’ll make sure to see it.

Hot on the heels of the upcoming documentary “Who Killed The Electric Car?”, it seems that the EV1, General Motors production electric car, it leaving the Smithsonian museum, to be replaced by an SUV.
Instead of progress, we are in a regressive state when it comes to alternative fuels for vehicles.
If it’s about money, I know where they could have used it more wisely. All I can say at this point is we really need to be concerned about our future instead of worrying about current profits.

I think summer has finally set foot here in Utah.
This last weekend found me playing a round of golf (9 holes and a small bucket of balls, but hey it’s a start), swimming with my daughter and staying outside without cursing the weather.
The previous weekend was spent in Wendover, NV, where we stayed for free at the Wendover Nugget - that is if you don’t count the $90 I spent playing roulette and the slots.
And the first weekend of June found me on a bike for the first time in a long time. I did the 25-mile Bike Tour at the Salt Lake City Marathon. Finished it in 1 hour 38 minutes. Not bad for someone who’s over 40 and having been 10+ years since the last time I rode seriously. If this sticks and I get out a couple of times a week, I may be doing a century at the end of summer. We’ll see…. stay posted.
So let’s hope the weather is nice from here on…. or at least until Labor Day. In the meantime, I’ll try posting more activities that I do this summer.
